DPS's own Paranormal Tek (real name Phil Schlosser) has been immersed in music creation & performance since a very young age. Exposed to music by his father (a professional guitarist, bassist & drummer) the flame of music caught on very early in his life and has subsequently became a lifelong passion. Originally trained on Electric Guitar in the early 1990s (and programming his father's drum machine to play along with, the Roland TR-909); Phil captured his creative edge lightning fast, right away his peers began to realize Phil was somewhat of a prodigy. Within two years he formed his own punk rock band "Wicked Paradise", in which he played guitar & lead vocals (along with his brother on drums & close friend on bass), they went on to record demos & pass them around which lead to an array of local gigs eventually playing in front of his whole Jr High School.

In his Freshmen year of High School (98') Phil jumped in a car full of crazy kids en route to a Detroit rave party where he arrived shortly later at the then abandoned "East Town Theatre" in Detroit, MI - full of thousands of people; he instantly fell in love with the techno sound. Within weeks he purchased his own Synth, 909, 505, Sampler & DJ setup. Two yrs later (after an array of mixtapes & live projects) Phil started to receive attention from local promoters & began to perform at local raves, as a DJ & live act. This led to him producing his own events & after a few years of evolution in taste & knowledge eventually this evoled into the current "Detroit Paranormal Society" project. His twin brother Matthew (also known as Faze) was also somewhat of a musical prodigy, forming a popular Michigan hip hop group "Blue Le'goon" in which Phil produced much of the material for. In this project they worked with such hip hop greats as Copywrite, C-Ray Walz, Cryptic One of the Atoms Family, Canibus, RA the Rugged Man, Raekwon & Planet Asia just to name a few.

As a promoter in general Phil has brought over 50 events to the City of Detroit, displaying & playing alongside such artists as Tim Xavier, Joey Beltram, Richard Devine, Evol Intent, Gridlok, Ben Sims, Function, John Selway, Neil Landstrumm, Steve Stoll, Woody McBride, Drumcell, Robert Hood, Urban Tribe, James Pennington, Phoenecia, Tony Rohr, Scan 7, Ultradyne, Kyle Geiger, The Flashbulb, Dietrich Schoenemann, Anthony Shake Shakir, UR, Arthur Oskan, Nigel Richards, Bryan Zentz, Dustin Zahn & many many more. On his upcoming event he has lined up with the infamous "Minus Records" to bring Germany's JPLS to the City of Detroit alongside special guest Skoozbot (Plus 8/M-nus), in which Phil is slated to open for the Minus artists. As a freelance artist he has been invited to play all over the State of Michigan, as well as Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri - Hamilton, London & Toronto Canada; not to mention notable Festival performances such as the Midwest's massive "Underground Sound" Cave gathering (to name one).

Although keeping most of his material exclusive for live manipulation at play dates over the years, Phil is also slated to release an EP this year on Woody McBride's "Communique Records" as well as a EP on Plus 8 Legend Himadri's "Switch Records" imprint. Now approaching the 7th year of producing events under DPS brand & 11th year of producing events & performing in general, Phil's career has come full circle by being invited to play one the seminal Festivals that originally influenced him deeply over 10 years ago, Detroit's World Renowned "Movement: Electronic Music Festival", which has seen upwards of 300,000 people per year from techno enthusiasts around the globe.
